Torrid Floral Maxi Dress

I can’t be the only one that doesn’t normally believe in love at first sight…right? Well it's true- I have never fell in love at first sight. I didn’t know the feeling. I compare any loving situation to "It Takes Two". You know that 90’s movie with Mary Kate and Ashley where one's rich and one's an orphan. Then they meet and decide that the one girl's dad and the other girl's caregiver should fall in love and be together? No? You have no idea what I'm talking about….Okay, If you haven’t seen it please take an hour and a half out of your day and watch this adorable movie. I know all the words to and used to watch it all the time with my cousin and made my aunt make sloppy joes at 1 in the morning because of this movie. You may not know that reference, but if you do then we can be best friends. If you don’t – watch the movie on Amazon Prime.

Back to the reason that I brought this up in the first place. In the movie they say love is that “can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kinda thing.” Honestly that’s how I look at clothes. There are so many cute styles out there now-a-days that for me to purchase something, especially over $50, it must make me feel this way. I can’t be spending $100 every couple of weeks on new clothes ‘just because’ if it doesn’t make me feel like this. But this dress. Girl, let me tell you. I fell in love.

I felt all the things that Mary Kate and Ashley mentioned in the movie, which honestly doesn’t happen often. Sometimes you just put on a dress and you know it’s meant for you and your body. You know it’s exactly what you have been wanting and needing without realizing it was something you wanted or needed. A few weeks ago, I happened to go into Torrid not looking for anything in particular when I happened to see this black floral off the shoulder dress with belled sleeves. Long maxi style dresses don’t always work for me, since I need certain parts of it to be fitted so that they give me a shape. I can’t be the only one that doesn’t want a dress to do nothing but just hang there. A lot of Torrid’s maxi dresses just hang on me or they hug the wrong curves that I don’t want to accentuate. This dress fits just right, though, like it’s made for me or something. Yes, again I’m being a little dramatic but if you haven’t caught onto the last few posts it’s how I am sometimes.

But this dress fits just right and it’s the perfect length for this 5’10 girl to wear heels or flat sandals. This is such a great spring dress and I can’t wait to wear this dress more often. Yes, I am one of those bloggers that will wear this dress a ton of times and not just wear it once then be done with it. I can’t afford to be doing that all the time; however, if you ask my mom she will say that she sees me in something new more often than not…oh well. I wore this dress for my birthday and I got so many compliments. One lady even told me that she had just bought the same dress because when she put it on it was just perfect; exactly how I felt. Sometimes you see something and you just put it on and you know that this is your dress and its meant for you. It’s probably how people feel when they find their wedding dress.
