Lane Bryant X Iambeauticurve Collection

Before writing this post, I asked my best friend to describe my style in three words. She said classic, trendy, and fun. I love that because it is how I decide what bloggers I want to follow; and I try to follow fashion bloggers in these three categories. I want someone trendy so I can change up my style and stay current with new clothes. I want someone fun that isn't afraid to take risks or wear bold colors. Lastly, I want someone classic because it never goes out of style. One of the bloggers I follow is Rochelle, also known from her IG handle Iambeauticurve. Her style is everything that I wish I was and could afford. The way she puts pieces together is simple, classic, and iconic. She recently partnered with Lane Bryant to create some fun spring pieces that incorporate a lot of her style. She is a blogger that is very good about mixing and matching pieces, taking something casual and dressing it up, or mixing high end designer pieces with something more affordable. I knew when I saw her collection it was going to be girly, colorful, and classic. I only picked up two pieces and that was the pink fit flare dress and the black and white striped jumpsuit.

Let’s start off with the fact that I despise jumpsuits. First, I am tall and kind of round; therefore, most jumpsuits accentuate the parts of me that I personally like to hide such as my stomach. So that is normally why I never gravitate towards them. Secondly, there's something that bothers me with the fact that you must completely get undressed to go to the restroom, but I digress. This was until I went into the store and the person letting me in the dressing room told me that I needed to try on the jumpsuit because people are especially loving it if they are tall. I didn't get a chance to tell her no because next thing I knew she was using her earpiece to tell someone to bring me my size. I had no plans of trying it on if it wasn't for her checking on me every couple of minutes asking to see how each piece I grabbed looked and her saying “I can't wait to see the jumpsuit.” Begrudgingly I tried it on and all my previous thoughts on jumpsuits went out the door. I have never tried on a jumpsuit in which I felt cute. The length was great, I am 5'10, and it looked great with black flats and sandals. The stripes on it flattered my stomach in a way that didn't make me feel uncomfortable. It was cute and simple, and I felt cute in it so of course that means I have to buy it.

I tell myself all the time that I don't own enough pink. Even though it’s my favorite color you would never know based off my closet. When I saw that her collection had multiple dresses in pink, I knew I had to pick up one of them. I tend to love pieces that I can wear multiple ways and to multiple places. For example, if I can wear it to brunch, work, and to run errands then it has my stamp of approval. That's why this pink fit and flare dress was perfect. I love that I can wear it with sneakers, boots, with a flannel, or a leather jacket and I can get so many different looks out of it. It’s just a really cute dress that if you were looking to snag anything from this collection it’s the most versatile of the pieces and if you aren't a fan of the color pink, then they did make this in a black and white stripe.

There are so many other cute pieces that I wanted, but my back account told me ‘no no no!’, Such as the yellow dress that I have seen so many of my blogger friends in and the high low cheetah print dress to just name a couple. If you did buy anything from the Iambeauticurve x Lane Bryant collection let me know below - I would love to hear about the pieces you picked. Plus, I heard a little rumor that there might be a round 2. Fingers crossed!
